Ick, gamers are really unattractive for that reason (and some others lol)

My husband and I are both gamers. Even my oldest is. I don't put up with him ignoring our children to play or even ignoring me. We also don't just play video games

We got to have other hobbies too. Luckily for me he is also outdoorsy. He works in the heat all day on the weekdays so I don't mind when he comes home and plays

But on the weekends

Nah, let's go.outside and do something. You gotta have balance. Teach kids to be healthy, go outside and play.

My husband is a gamer. When we first got married he would play for long stretches like that , especially on the weekends. During the week, he would play from the time he got home from work to 3 or 4 am. By the time he’d get off the game I’d be sleep. I was so frustrated and felt alone even with him there. After talking to him , complaining to him, trying to stay out all day and late with friends and family to see if he would “miss me” , and finally going to a couple counseling sessions (which he was against ) , I think he started to see the effect it was having on me and our marriage. I think the turning point was a 7hr road trip we took and talked the whole way ... just setting goals together and dreaming together . I think it helped spark a new type of love for each other where we were now “teammates” working towards common goals . I found that to be helpful. I also started doing my own hobbies too because I do think we both needs outlets to do the things we want to do. (His gaming and mine Writing). Now we have a great balance . I don’t mind him gaming now because he doesn’t ignore me when I interrupt him. Sometimes he will still play for 3-4 hours at a time sometimes more , but since he has learned to designate time for me it’s no big deal. He still helps out with the baby as well so if he is on the game and I need to get something done , I just take him the baby and he will get off. .... OH I FORGOT one of the most important things ... I actually asked him to teach me how to play some of the games and I played with him a little and he liked the fact that I showed interest in what he liked to do.

I said all that to say this is probably just a season he is in and maybe he is trying to relieve some sort of stress. I know my husband uses gaming as a way of “escape” .

My husband is a great man and I’m so glad we got through that period of time. I wish you the best ....there is hope ❤️

I refuse to be with someone immature that plays kid games simple 🤷🏼‍♀️

Also, NO WAY could I deal with a gamer dude. That seems to be totally acceptable to them but, life hasn't stopped while you were glued to that screen the last 12 hours! They're just playin their life away. I'm too much of a spaz to do ANY damn thing for that amount of time! Haha!

There’s nothing wrong with him enjoying a game but to play for that long is almost childish imo.
