My son does great potty training ONLY if I take him to the bathroom on time.. otherwise he doesn’t verbalize his need to go (until it’s too late) and he speaks fluently, it’s not like it’s because he doesn’t talk clearly yet. He just doesn’t verbalize his need to go.. do they still have weak control over their bladder at this age? Or what? He’s so smart, and he has no problem with using the toilet, but he won’t tell me when he has to go and I’m about ready to just throw him back into diapers 😭 . Someone give me some encouragement .

If he’s great at using it on a schedule just keep doing that. He will get it. Some kids just don’t want to stop what they are doing to go.

My daughter is even 2 yet and has full control of her bladder she’s 100% potty trained. I’ve heard it depends on the kid. Honestly I think it’s how on top of it you are. I’ve noticed (just my observation from the app) moms that potty train later seem to have a more difficult time with their children

I’m consistent , and on top of it . And it’s been a month of him in underwear , But let’s say I’m doing something like washing dishes or forget to take him he’ll pee himself and come tell me after .

Putting him back in diapers will sabotage everything. Just keep taking him. He will get it. Patience.
