Breastfeeding is a whole new battle. I’m lucky enough to produce enough milk but holy ouch. I can’t seem to get my daughter to latch properly. I feel like my nipples are gonna fall off and she refuses to take a bottle 😩
I've been going through the same thing. You can look on some of my posts to get some advice, but what's helped me is using the MyMedela app. It tracks everything so when someone asks when she last ate/had a bottle/ diaper change you can tell them
It’s so hard right in the beginning but it does get better. I really liked the medela lanolin but airing out my nipples and expressing milk on them helped them heal faster. Hang in there, be patient.
I was going to say lactation consultant as well? Usually if you call your OB or hospital where you delivered they have someone you can see for free. If it’s really bad you can try a nipple shield for the time being, but personally I felt like it was a hassle and made the already bad latch worse. Good luck, breastfeeding is hard but once you get the hang of it, it gets easier!
I second the LC! The first few weeks are rough! Remember that you’re both still learning to breastfeed! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
Do you have any lactation consultants nearby you can see? Dont give up, breastfeeding is such a learning process for you and baby. If you get too frustrated you can always pump and encourage a bottle when and where you can. You're doing your best and I am very proud of you
I can’t stress this enough, PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVER!!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I think my waters broke
Its 3am and I woke up to a small gush. My husband and I did have sex last night, so at first I thought maybe it was just that and I ignored it. Then I realized that my pants were significantly wet, although it wasn't enough to get on the sheets.
I know this sounds sooo fkedup but sometimes i wanna get into a bad accident so my husband sees exactly all the things i do ... and how wrong he is by saying i don’t do enough ( not in those words but the jist of it ) anyway .... i think this all the time . Maybe then he will think differently .
Call the lactation specialist at the place you gave birth. They're free and can even meet with you and help you get your baby to latch right. My first was kinda hard. And they helped me! We also have a place here called w.i.c and those ladies there were amazing as well with helping and giving pointers. Don't give up. If you feel like you're not producing enough you can always get something called mother's milk tea and these one pills for nursing mom's. I take them and they work amazing !
