Does anyone here have a emotional animal/letter? Did you get it for housing purposes? If so how did you get the letter? We have a puppy picked out but my next appointment with my therapist isn't until November and the puppy will be ready in 4 weeks. Need to get it sooner than that. Any advice?

I do for Henry. My Dr at the time brought it up, but she wasn't a therapist or anything. I didn't know any of the housing stuff at the time. Can you call your therapist's office and leave a message requesting one?

I don't know for sure. My doctor knows about my anxiety and panic attacks but my therapist won't be able to see me until a month after the puppy is ready. I will be calling tomorrow and see what they can do.

I would definitely go with calling your therapist and requesting. Your main Dr may tell you they can't do it and to go to the therapist because so many people have been going online and paying money to get an esa "certificate" or going to their Dr without needing it.

I have been looking online for an ESA letter and I have found two that are legit but they aren't free. If I end up having to wait until November to talk to my therapist I might just do it online.

You can prob just call you therapist office and request one

I will try that tomorrow! Thank you!

Just because you get a letter, doesn't mean anyone has to rent to you. A service dog yes but they go through extensive training. Its pretty much a waste of money.

I am already in a apartment complex and talked to the manager about how the process goes. I need a ESA letter from my doctor or therapist.
