Moms who have had a planned repeat cesarean after an emergency cesarean the first time, can you please tell me the differences in your recovery?

@tamitam, They use your child’s umbilical cord to help close you up and insert a port that’s connected to a box that you’ll carry around in your pants pocket that will go off and alert them if an infection is detected. I healed so fast! feel wonderful already. 🤗 My Doctor is the only one at all of the hospitals near me that does this new method I’m so tuneful I switched to her.

My 1st was an emergency csection n my 2nd was a failed vbac. 3rd was planned n was sooo much better cos I wasn't so tired from being in labour before it n I recovered much faster.

^^ that’s why my midwife said you recover better too. Because your body hasn’t had the stress of going through labour

I had my emergency in 2014 and had my scheduled last June and the recovery is soo much worse I am still trying to recover. I have been having doctors appts every other week trying to them to repair my nerve. I wish I could of tried a vbac but my son my breech. I know things happen during surgery but it’s been awful!

My doc is low in spirits about my vbac because his last one wasn't a successful attempt.

Had an emergency last October and my planned repeat almost a week ago.
I feel a bit more prepared as to what the pain will be and I know this time around to move more but honestly is feels the same, to me anyways and not in a positive way. But I've heard others have a way better recovery the second time around ❣️

Woah! You got Irish twins. That's so cool lol I am planning for a VBAC, but the way I've been feeling lately, I just wanna say forget it and go schedule my cesarean. I'm just NOT looking forward to the recovery at all and hoping somewhere down the line it could be easier, but I just doubt it.
