Any advice? My LO is 18months. He adamantly refuses to let me anywhere near his mouth so I cant brush his teeth, he will just chew on his toothbrush until the bristles start to ruin and fall out. Any way I can make sure he is definitely cleaning his teeth??

Try and make it into a game? Or get him to copy you brushing yours?

I've tried everything games, songs, brushing mine he just hates me going by his mouth. We watch cartoons of peppa and Elmo brushing their teeth, but he likes my electric one so I will look into kids electric ones at least I know they clean better x

I have to fight with adam to get him to brush his teeth every single day ive tried to make it fun him brush mine while i do his but he keeps his lips shut tight so cant even get to his teeth so now after hes brushed his own he knows he goes on my knee weather he likes it or not n he screams for 2 minutes but then hes done n laughs only thing i Could recommend is buying a leccy brush if u dont have one already adam loves his only got it last week but u know its still cleaning then goodluck xx

Thanks hes very interested in my electric tooth brush but I wasnt sure if he was too young for one, I'll try xx

tbh im not sure they can use them now youve said that gonna ring my dentist today to see what they say cos honestly never crossed my mind i jusr thought that was a better way than him not doing them atal ill let u know what they say xx

My boys do theirs at bath time, I put the paste on the brush and they brush my youngest chews it too but atleast he’s getting there!xx

We sing songs about brushing teeth. There's plenty on YouTube, we usually just make them up though 😂

I tried to make it fun. Singing, light up toothbrush. I'd brush my teeth as well. Ultimately it just took time. I wouldn't force it but it is part of their start chart now. If they brush their teeth without fuss they get a star 😂

My LG does this. We have recently found a rhyme on YouTube about teeth brushing that she likes to copy so that helps. Also me and my oh kind of tag team her where he will make her laugh and I brush her teeth. She really enjoys it x
