Would anyone recomend getting a nursing pillow or no. I never had one with osian but I want to breastfeed longer with this baby (had to stop with osian as my insision because infected) so need some advice on how to survive more than a month??

I’m definitely getting a nursing pillow this time around 🤣 my arm use to get so dead before you can get them cheap from tkmaxx

Aww the first month is the most difficult. I used to breastfeed in a sitting position, even at night, just using normal pillows. But then I realised there are laying down positions which made my life a lot easier. Now I breastfeed once in a laying position in the afternoon, and all other times at night xx

@liya.bowie I definetly will be this time. With my insision becoming infected I had to stop which was heartbreaking expecially when he was trying to feed from me it was hard to give him a bottle. Think that will just push me to do it longer this time xx

aww sorry to hear it. I’ve just realised your and my baby are same age. When was your baby born? Mine was born on 06/08/2018. And you’re already 26 weeks pregnant? cx

@liya.bowie my son was born 13/7/2018 so about 3 weeks difference haha and yeah must be crazy always loved the idea of having a small age gap between babies xx

I’m from a family where all women breastfed so I thought I should continue breastfeeding even though it looked hard in the beginning. But of course I fully understand women who formula feed their babies xx

I love my nursing pillow I don't use it as much now as I always feed Owen lying down on my bed but now I put it behind him when he's sitting so he doesn't hurt himself if he topples. I also used it between my legs when I was sleeping during the end of my pregnancy as I had spd x

@kirikatrina also because I had a section it fit nicely around my tummy without hurting the scar xx

that's good then I had an emergency section with my boy and it hurt to feed it at times with him moving himself on my scar xx

yes mine was emergency too. I found the best way was to sit with my legs crossed with the pillow on my lap. I also made sure to have lots of pillows to put around me and behind my back if I was sat on the sofa or armchair xx
