Do you think your birth control could affect your mental health? My anxiety has been so bad and the only thing different in my life is my nexplanon implant.

I had the nexplanon implant before and the only side effect I had were irregularly short periods every couple months. I had it for 3 years. This time I’ve had it for about 4 months and the passed month has been horrible.

Different formulations can have different effects. But hormones can definitely affect our mental state. Not birth control, but I’ve been taking a thyroid medication for a little over a month and it’s definitely induced some anxious states.
