My kids will learn Vagina and penis or refer to them as private parts. Saw a story about a six year old girl whos parents taught her to call her Vagina her "cookie" and never told her the correct term, and she told her teacher her uncle kept eating her cookie. Teacher didn't think anything of it since she thought she was talking about actual cookies. Needless to say months went by and the teacher mentioned to her parents in a conference that the girls uncle must really like cookies since their daughter mentioned it all the time to her. If she'd been taught the proper term for her genitals then they would have caught it much earlier. It's important that kids know the anatomical terms for their body parts.
Wow that’s so sad! I definitely want her to know the correct term for it, I just don’t want her going around school saying it all the time since is only 2 lol
@llcoolkay lol yeah that's the only problem but honestly my son rarely ever goes around saying he has a penis. I don't think he's even said it once. He will tell you what it is if you ask him. But he doesn't just talk about it for fun lol. My niece is three already and she also won't just go around saying it unless asked about it.
@insecureemu, I told her that we need to get in the bath and she says yeah and wash my vagina! I was so shocked lol and then she kept saying it. I told her we don’t Need to talk about it all the time. Lol
My son is now learning mamma has a vagina and he has a penis but he likes to call it a wuh wuh 😂 he knows it's called penis . He's known his but learning about mine because it's different.
Right now I just say private parts
My child calls a penis a penis
and a vagina a vagina
I don't use different names for arms and legs why would genitals go by another name?

My oldest knows her and her sisters have vaginas and her brother has a penis but I have her say privates if she needs to talk about them because she kept saying "mom I wiped my vagina good" Everytime after she went to the bathroom for like a week 🤣

Haha omg haha I wouldn’t see an issue with the words private parts for now untill their old enough to control the use of the word depends on the child I know mine I definitely wouldn’t be able to use penis no way not for. A few more years

You can use the words private parts in court if something were to happen I say that for now untill my kids are older if not my child would run around the house saying penis all day 🤦🏻♀️
As of right now I call it his private parts but I plan on using the correct term vagina and penis I have told him penis a few times but he mostly calls it his “private parts “
Yes I started out with private parts. Ypur private part.noone touch your private parts your vaginal and breast or penis and butt and chest r private parts. Their for your privacy

I read that kids should always know the proper terms from day one, so if GOD FORBID something horrible happens, they’ll be able to realize and tell an adult sooner.
My kids know the proper terms. Funny story. When something bothers my 4 year old I tell her to say “get out of here xyz” one day my mom said “hun you are so beautiful you’ll be fightin the boys away” I said “and what do you say to boys that bother you?” My daughter deadass says “don’t touch my vagina boys!” 😂😂 she’s not wrong lol
