Quick Rant , why is it that mothers that work and try to support them and their children as much as possible get denied for government assistances such as housing or snap and women that are lazy can literally sit on welfare and that’s that .... not all but some and I dont knock woman for getting service but some overly use the system and then there’s me not lazy working just need extra to make all ends meet and they say I make too much when I’m not making enough like damn you literally have to get paid nothing to get help I see

For real! I get no help at all and could use some! My son was waitlisted for pre-k last year because of our income. Sometimes it just blows because we’re so down and out.

So both of my kids got denied for this school called CAO in buffalo because I make too much but I’m only a hospital aide yes it’s a county job but it’s average pay smh and then I applied for food stamps / snap and was denied for that because I make over the allowed amount for a 3 person household

Most likely due to the limits not changing as they should. Some states make you look for jobs and stuff just to receive it. Just recently I believe they changed it in my state,I believe, you need to go to school or job search just to get snap. Atleast that was my experience when we had a low year and needed it.

@j.concepcion, in NYS they only do that for cash assistance which I didn’t apply for because I do have an income food is just very expensive and I buy with cash

Yeah that’s what I was explaining to the person above since she said snap. I guess it depends on where you live.
My god sister applied for food stamps and all they give her is $25 🤦🏼♀️ because they claim that she makes too much.

@j.concepcion, they literally won’t give me a dollar I feel like people who are working should be eligible for something seeing as tho they are doing something to support them selves

In arizona it sucka bc its seems like the govt wants you to quit your job or not have one in order to completely help with anything. These moms who hardly have their kids and stuff get homes and assistance WAY QUICKER then the ones who bust their ass daily it sucks

THANK YOU. same here they deny me every trip and here I am working my ass off as best I can and can’t get any help. 🙄 I have a friend who never worked and she gets it ALL

Smh and nothing against your friend but them are the people that typically get help and it sucks
