I don't think my oldest ever was

my 3.5 yo is aware that dark means bedtime we don't use nightlights and he's never had an issue

I’m so sad 😩

My daughter is 2.5 and she’s been acknowledging outside is “dark” for awhile or that her brother is napping in the dark. Tonight she ran into a room to go get her blanket and the light was off, she yelled it was dark and high-tailed it back to me and wouldn’t let go of me. True terror, I feel so bad.

I think it differs amongst children. My 6 year old, was never afraid of the dark. My 5 year old, has been afraid since she was 3. My 3 and 2 year old have no problems with darkness either.

4 for my oldes my 2 year old is kinda afraid of the dark at time depending on how dark and if she never been in that place before.

Around 3 1/2 yrs old

Around 3yrs of age. She is 8 now and still hates the dark. She has a moon wall lamp that lights up enough to keep the boogyman away.
