Of course this is an extreme case of “picky eater” but on a smaller scale, kids shouldn’t be “picky” eaters. I have never and will never make 2 meals for my sons. They have a well balanced meals and will learn to eat everything regardless of the texture, I’m not raising a “picky” eater

I'm not of a mindset to make 2 meals but what I do make I ensure that it's something i know my daughter eats. If it's something new she knows she has to try it before she can say she doesn't like it but some days I can make all her favorites and she won't eat. I can't force feed her so she knows her food is there, if you're hungry that's what we have and she will eventually eat. That being said kids go through stages and sometimes they don't want anything. If she won't eat good no matter what she's allowed to have fruit/cheese/yogurts and a Pediasure shake if it gets really extreme. While you likely did not mean it to sound so your post comes kind of rude as if all parents have a guaranteed path so their child won't be picky, some kids are picky eaters, some kids are autistic and that plays into it, some just don't like the flavor of the food (kids have tastes too) and sometimes they're just being stubborn but as long as the child is being fed in a healthy manner to each their own. The above case as you said is extreme but I won't fault any parent for feeding their child in the way that works for their family as long as the child is healthy.

I don’t think I sounded rude. But I agree with you I made sure everyone likes the food. They’ll end up eating it if they’re hungry

I agree. Sometimes I can live off pizza next week I won't even be able to eat it I rather starve. I don't expect more out of my child then I expect out of myself
