Okay, so here’s my problem here.
There’s a city ran building with a public restroom within walking distance (i don’t know how many yards away, but you can see it from the park). I always run my boys over there even though I could be ghetto and let them pee on a tree at the park, but we use the bathroom because that’s where pee and poop belong.
So my issue here is that they walked from their car straight to the slide to change their kid. Maybe they had a changing pad down, maybe they didn’t. I didn’t stare at them while they changed their kid, but it’s a PLAYGROUND where kids PLAY. Kids are gross little fuckers. They’ll touch anything not knowing better and they’ll wipe their eyes, they’ll eat food later. There’s germs and illnesses that can be transferred from bodily waste. These people are jeopardizing the health of other children and families by choosing to change their kid on a slide rather than somewhere like their car, which would have probably had more room and would have been cleaner than a public slide. It’s the health risk that bothers me.
I understand kids have accidents and blow outs and all that. I’ve seen my share of shit 😭, but I just find it incredibly rude and inconsiderate to change a child on playground equipment. Also, what happens if there was a creeper hanging out at the park? You’re going to risk someone seeing your kid’s body because you can’t use your car?
My best friend is a germaphobe. Like, the nightmare kind. But I make sure I make it easier on people like that who would struggle to even be near that slide after someone changed their kid on it. I need hand sanitizer, I need at least one layer of a changing pad to be between my kid’s butt and whatever surface I’m changing them on, even if it’s my own car and I KNOW it’s clean.
My kid doesn't just poope or pee all over the place as I'm changing her so...can't relate I guess.
I don’t ever change my kids in public view. My first choice would be the car or the changing table in the bathroom but I always put down my changing mat or some paper towels. If I had walked to the park then I’d walk back home immediately to change the diaper.
You all are nasty. Change your kid in the car. 😭
And if you walked to the park? Some people bring changing pads. Nasty is keeping your kid dirty because of your germ complex my guy.

They could have changed their kid on the grassy area.
@kimberly_the-preemie-mom I still really don't think it matters this much. You're acting like someone sprayed the slide with acid. Just change your kid. Slide. Car. Park bench. As long as you're not leaving them in a dirty diaper.
I change my son anywhere unless it’s a poop. I refuse to use the changing table bc that’s dirty for him.
If your kid pooped you change their bum. I don't understand the issue. The issue would be if you left them in that dirty diaper. 🤷♀️
Why not on the lap? Lol. I definitely would not be changing my child on a swing or anything public like that.
I think it is. What if they were in a pinch. How about a blow out? Maybe they didn't want to take them into a disgusting public restroon.
As long as no one is using the slide and she cleans the slide and properly disposes of trash what the big deal?
@divinely_favored, it has the potential to get someone sick if they got pee or poop on the slide though and a kid touched it later, rubbed their eyes, or sucked on their fingers, etc., that’s what bothers me. I know accidents happen but I would have picked a different spot. I’m the kind of person who can’t even use a public changing table though- I’ve always changed my kids (or anyone else’s kids I was watching) in a car.
@kimberly_the-preemie-mom, Someone getting sick from something happens everywhere on a daily basis ..! that’s why I use toilet paper or wipes or my elbow or foot to flush, open doors , etc.. hands are one of the dirtiest things on the body besides a persons mouth that’s why ppl shouldn’t put their hands in their mouth lol

They didn't have a blanket to put on the grass??? Or their lap??? What the heck. People are wild.
I honestly didn’t see them put anything down on the slide, all I know is they walked into the gated park and instantly changed their kid. They just had her on the slide, not in their lap or anything.
They definitely should've changed their baby in the car. On their lap or something. If there was a bathroom close then use it. I have always been scared about somebody peeping on the shadows so I would've be changing my child in a public setting like that anyways
