Yeah that’s what’s hard! I don’t wanna rush him but I’m also sick of him peeing all over himself because he pulls his penis out of his diaper
My son just learned on his own 🤷 he's naked a lot. Maybe that helped. Not potty trained but he won't wet at night and waits until I help him bathroom in morning
He will probably potty train so quickly!
Mainly it's just teaching them the signs their bodies show them before they have to use the bathroom. Before it's an emergency. Way easier said than done. But with time as they learn their bodies better they'll have better bladder control.
Okay cause now he just sits on the potty every time he has the slightest urge. Like trickles.
Definitely watching their signs and routine.
@kellynicole My son has a habit of trying to hide when he has to poop. As soon as he goes mia we know he has to drop it like it’s hot.
I also don’t do night time drinks. Nothing but water after 6 until 9. Then cut off unless they’re in need.
I’ve bribed him with chocolate chips every time he pees and some cool underwear. I’ve said 5,000 times “don’t do peepees in your underwear ok???”

A lot of it for us was just my daughter maturing enough to care about potty training. Diapers were a lot more convenient than stopping what she was doing and going to the bathroom. She had to make the conscious decision and it took her a while.
