My son's first grade teacher (my son is in 4th grade now) has been arrested for inappropriate touching of two students. I received a voicemail this morning from a detective asking me to call her back about my son making a statement in the case. I've asked my son multiple times about his teacher and he's told me the same thing every time, he never saw anything and his teacher never touched him. Do I have to take my son down to the station? It's well known around here about the arrest, they've asked parents to come forward with any information they may have. I haven't called the detective back yet but am wondering why they would need a statement from my son. Any advice? Has anybody had to sit in with their child during a police interview?
Yeah, true. I hadn't thought of him being more open talking to someone else. I'll call the detective back this afternoon!
@iltoco, thank you. He maybe telling you the truth tho hopefully he is but to be on the safe side. You are doing the right thing
@iltoco could also be someone who was touched remembers u son being around or near the time it happened and can verify a story . Sometime most times in these situations children may not even notice something was wrong until they are reminded . My husband remember in kindergarten or so . A female teacher putting her hands down his pants while right at her desk while other children were in the room .
They probably want to speak to every child the teacher has come in contact with. When I was young I had to write a statement and interview with the police regarding sexual abuse. My parents were not allowed in the room. They had to sit in the other room. They could see and hear us but they couldn’t be in the same room as us.
Thanks for the response! I've never had to deal with something like this. Idk if my son will want to talk without me present. I worry this will scare him.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...
