Can someone tell me why my 10 month old screams like crazy at bedtime? It’s absolutely ridiculous, she hates to sleep. She barely takes 1 nap a day and getting her to nap is hell. I’ve been trying the CIO method for the past 2-3 weeks but it breaks my heart because it isn’t getting any better. She still screams just as much as she did the 1st night I tried it. Maybe even more.

I'm sorry girl, I've been there wondering why baby boy didnt sleep like he used to. If the cio method is too much stress try out other ways to soothe her if possible. Maybe it's just a growth spurt/sleep regression...give it time momma it will get better. Keep ur head up, YOU GOT THIS supermomma!!!

I was about to say maybe sleep regression too because my 10 month old is doing the same, she hates bedtime recently.

@krystalft.4 yes I believe one of the sleep regression ages is 8-10m (cause every baby is different) but it gets better just takes time & patience. Yall both are doing wonderful it will be over b4 u know it

@krystalft.4, I have thought of it being sleep regression but this has been going on since 4 months old. She just fights sleep so bad. She’ll even fall asleep and then realize she’s sleeping and wake up screaming. She’ll wake up for the first 1/2 hour sometimes even an hour until she’s finally out for the night.

I think every baby is different. My almost 10 month old took really well to it. I nursed him until almost asleep, laid him in his crib, turned on a night light and his mobile, covered him with a Muslin blanket and put a paci next to him. First night it was 45 minutes, but I went in every 5 minutes to pat his back and “shh shh “ him, but I did not pick him up. Second night it was 25 minutes and decreased from there. Now usually he doesn’t cry, or only for a few seconds. I still have the 5 minute rule. I’m not sure if you did something similar? If not maybe try it this way. If you did, maybe she just isn’t ready, I never did This with baby #1.
