Has anyone not put their kid in preschool or daycare and they did good in kindergarten??

We didn't do preschool or daycare. We did more of a home school preschool curriculum. Our daughter is doing very well in 1st grade. Her math scores are that of a 4th grader and reading is a 5th grade level. She is very social. You don't have to do preschool to be a successful student.

I guess myself. I didn’t go to daycare or pre-k and could read in kindergarten and was always an advanced kid

I run a home daycare, it’s not structured though LOL mine didn’t do preschool. Both my boys turned 5 the summer before school started, they went “early” I guess you can say as most boys especially wait a year. But they’ve both done great! My oldest just started 6th grade and my next is now in second.

My oldest we sent to preschool but my middle daughter we did not and so far she’s doing just fine. We learned what exactly she would need to know before starting kindergarten and we just worked with her. The preschools around here are more like dropping your kids off at a babysitters and I wasn’t gonna waste my time again doing that. I haven’t decided what I will do with my youngest but I’m thinking probably teach her myself.

I've seen kids not go and do well in kindergarten. I on the underhand got held back so did my stepdaughter and neither one of us went to a daycare or pre k. My son I made sure went to preschool I'm glad he did. He really learned so much and still very smart.

Preschool here is free and the teachers are great

Yep and my kid is doing well and going to the 1st grade. Smart girl she is. But if you can put your kid in pre k I would, most of my kids went.
