Is it normal for my 2 month old to only want to nurse off of one boob? I try to put her on the other one after she pops off the first but she's not interested and will turn her head away. She seems completely content and often coos and hangs out for a little bit and then goes to sleep. Ive tried waiting 10-15 minutes and trying to put her back on the other side but she just won't even open her mouth. Is she just full after the one boob? Do I need to pump the other one? I switch every feeding, it doesn't matter which breast I feed her from, she always seems uninterested after just one.
@insecureemu, and congrats on the 2years with your son!! That’s amazing!
Thank you! I'd only stopped when I did because I was pregnant again and breastfeeding was causing awful cramps. But he was only nursing to go to sleep so, it was about time to wean him off anyways.
Good job mama on recognizing some common concerns moms have with nursing. You seem to have a good grasp on what to do and you know to keep offering the breast to check if baby is still hungry and switch sides with every feeding session. It is typical for a baby to get full off of one breast and by 2 months baby is a little more awake and has a good idea of when he wants to eat. You got some good advice here!
I breastfed my son for two years and he always wanted both boobs, so when she started only wanting one I wasn't really used to all of that. But she's over doubled her birth weight by 10weeks old and she seems content. I just wasn't sure if it was normal or if I needed to be pestering her about eating more or having her seen by her doctor.
@insecureemu, good instincts! ❤️ every baby is different. My second one certainly is giving me a run for it lol
Thats normal and shes probably just full. My son was the same way, I switched sides every feeding.
Pump the other side after.
Very normal. Just try and switch every other feeding for your own comfort sake lol
I do already, I just wasn't sure if it was normal for her to only want to eat off of one..
@insecureemu she does eat off both though so that's good. Normal until they're older then they want both like 6000x in one feeding
Maybe start her off with the boobs she’s having a hard time with when she’s hungry? She may just not be hungry anymore. I try to switch mine as much as possible. Sometimes she has a hard time and I’ll feed her while we lay in my bed and that helps her a lot. If you do this, make sure to put a blanket or towel under you guys in case she throws up so it doesn’t get on your bed lol
She's not having a hard time at all. She feeds just fine, just she doesn't want to feed off of both boobs. I switch boobs every feeding and she does great with both. She just has no interest in the other boob after she's had one.
Baby won't bear weight on leg
I have a walking 10 month old and she has been extra fussy yesterday and today. Today I noticed she didn't really want to crawl, she would just cry until I came and picked her up. After I fed her, I tried setting her down to play with her big sister and she just started crying and wouldn't put any weight on her left leg. She will put weight down on her right leg but then just cries until you pick her back up. I thought maybe she just didn't want to be put down (as ...
Dad's FB Video!!
Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
My baby girl does not let me do anything all day 😭 I'm lucky if everything is done before my s.o gets home , she cried so I pick her up to feed her and change her diaper and once she's on my breast she eats and I burp her put her down and she'll cry I get her again and she's on my breast not even latched on just smelling my boobs 😭 I'm like girl really lmao she wants me to carry her or be with her all day , girl I wish I could lmao
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Completely normal her stomach is still pretty small I'd pump just to keep milk in freezer but you can train your breasts to only produce at curtain times it might help!
