My friend turned me onto this chair that I’m calling the egg. She gave me a great idea and we are rolling with it! We are creating a sensory regulation zone in Zay’s room. Next to the egg will be a bin with his favorite weighted stuff and a few other things he enjoys for sensory. He can cover up, spin and work towards better self regulation. It should be ready to go by the time I get back from my mani/pedi.

Yeah it was $70. Not bad at all. My friend works with kids on the spectrum and saw it and lost her mind with excitement. Worth a shot, self regulation is so important. My kid is supposed to go to kindergarten with an aide next year so I want to start working on this issue now.

This one looks cool. He has a dog, a snake and a dragon. He fights the weighted blanket sometimes but that’s because he knows he’ll fall asleep and doesn’t want to.

I’m thinking about going back to ikea and grabbing two mats that are like the ones kids do gymnastics on too. They were cheap and my kid likes his crashing sensory stuff. This way we could re create some of the stuff he does at OT
