It really pisses me off that my husband doesn't say or do anything when my stepson disrespect me idk if it's because Im not his real mother but that will be a reason why I'll leave

I've tried talking to him and he does say yeah your right I need to stop doing that then goes right back to doing it when he's mad. It's not fair to me when I live everyone and I took on the responsibility to raise his son because his mother chose not too he has to give me that kind of respect or it's not gunna work out

He's not even 3. His dad is probably is more relaxed because he feels guilty. His aggression towards you isn't okay but it is normal. Your the new parent and the child has to go back and forth. This will take some time for him to get used to. I would absolutely talk to his parents about putting him in speech. That will probably help with his behavior and communicating his feelings.

He is in speech, and his mother is not allowed to see him so there's no going back an forth. He hasn't seen his mom in about a year

@jenny955 has he been evaluated for other disorders. Just be patient with him. Even though he hasn't seen his mother in a year it could still be affecting him. I would definitely be talking to your boyfriend about getting him more help and being consistent with his discipline

@massgirl oh iknow it's prob still tramatizing he's been in an out of foster care his whole life about 5 months ago we got full custody of him the mother has to get her life together before she can even see him. But I still wanna be respected. Also he's never seen his parents together even as a baby so he's been through a lot

When I first got with my SO his daughter was a brat. She would kick me and it wasn't just me everyone and nobody was correcting it. I just kept getting after him about correcting her and finally he did something about it. Then when id keep her I wasn't having that shit. Now she's 17, listens and a pretty good kid.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

2 or not that’s when u start getting it under control ur husband definitely needs to start making sure he respects u as his wife and mother figure ur only trying to do what’s best he doesn’t want him to be out of control and when it’s too late I hope he starts taking up for u soon, it may be rough the new change for him but he still needs to respect u!
