Has anyone’s LO been diagnosed with croup and not given any medication for them? I took my daughter on monday and she has croup. The dr said the steroid and breathing treatment isn’t “proven to work”. I’m not sure I agree but i’m not a doctor

My son had it in June and no medication was needed. They told me if he was having difficulty breathing bring him to hospital to get a steroid shot but he was ok and it cleared up in about a week.

Yes, but we end up up in the ER and I wouldn’t leave without it. I’ve been told they don’t need them, but my dd was an extreme case. If lo gets worse or not better bring her back in. Hope your poor dd Feels better fast

My son has had it a few times. He got the steroid only once. Every time after that, he didn’t get anything

Both of my kids had it. They got one shot of steroid and after that I was told to either take them out in the cold or to open the freezer door so they can get the cold air.
