Good afternoon ladies☺ today's question is about step parents and step-children. Say y'all been married for a long time now and you worried that they would never accept you or love you and their real parents😔 and you are worried that any other kids that y'all have together they won't accept them as they brother and sister🤔??

My brother and sister have a different dad than I do. I don't love them any different and they are like any other brother or sister. U just gotta treat them all the same and they won't know the difference. My family handled it all very well tho. My dad's parents treated my brother and sister as their own grandkids. They practically raised us actually. I'm the oldest but my dad still got my brother and sister Christmas and birthday presents. He wasn't very active in my life let alone theirs but what he did for me he did for them as well. Their dad wasn't around either so I think it actually made it easier for us cuz all we had was our mom and she was a mess so my grandparents took over. We grew up as siblings and didn't ever see one another as "half siblings"

Always a risk. Luckily we haven’t had many issues so far with any of that. We just do our best to make sure all of the kids feel special and loved.

Oh, and to add to that, my parents/family don’t treat my stepkids any different either. The kids all call my parents by their grandparent names and my parents always have birthday presents and Christmas presents for them too. They have never been made to feel like outsiders.
