Has anyone ever asked to be induced on there due date and that actually happen?

Not on my due date but I asked to be induced when I seen my consultant at 38+3 and she agreed. I was induced the next day xx
What was your reason for being induced? I see my mw next thursday and my consultant the following wednesday when i’ll be 39+2 but i thought that would be to short notice for him to sort out inducing me.x
@emmabump13, I have IC and had a cervical stitch placed. I lost my daughter last year due to IC and was an anxious wreck throughout the pregnancy. I kept thinking something was going to happen to him so she decided to induce me to put my mind as ease. xx

I asked and was able to get a stretch and sweep on my due date. Unfortunately it didn't work for me but I know people they have worked for xx
I have already asked to get that done as my due dates a monday but mw clinic is a thurs/fri so didnt want to wait until over to get it done. Mw is fine with doing it on my due date. I just have different reasons/anxieties on why i would prefer to be induced that date rather than a sweep. A sweep worked for me with my first but not my second 😊
@emmabump13 yeah they are strange things I think it all depends on whether your body is ready I guess but I wish you all the best and hopefully you can get what you want xxx
I wasnt allowed to go more than 7days over with my first and they let me pick originally. I chose 40+6 which was a Friday and I thought labouring on the weekend would be convenient 😂 but things didn't go to plan and when babies heart rate was decelling I was induced at 40+1 instead. So I guess its worth asking they might say yes.
I’m pretty sure they’ll only induce if there’s a reason. With my daughter I had to wait until 12 days past my due date x
They dont let me go 7days over. I have a metabolic condition so have reason for it. Its just all been very different care i have had this time so i’m not sure whats going to happen. I have my mw appointment next week so going to ask her about it then x
I was induced before my due date with both girls. I struggled really badly towards the end of my pregnancies and was induced at 39+5 and 38+6
