How do teachers discipline and or get kids to listen? especially at such an early age, i know some kids listen when another adult is telling them no and it starts at home but my son is crazy and very active lol (no telling how he'd be when it's actually school time) but I've never heard anything or thought about that growing up (obviously because i had no kids).... any insight is greatly appreciated.

A lot of patience, positive reinforcement and redirection! A lot of places will also have a thinking chair or something similar. 😊

@mother.of.3 Absolutely. No one should be yelling at your child! That doesn't teach them. Your son is so little he's still learning how to act in a social setting like school. They're there to guide him, even through the tantrums. Unless he's hurting himself or others they normally won't physically intervene aside from just gently placing them into a chair and explaining in a short simple way why they're in the chair. They'll do their time (2 mins). Then you talk about it, they say sorry, get a hug and move on with their day! That's how it's always gone at the daycares I've worked at and how I do it nannying.
