So I found out I was pregnant on August 9 i took 10 pregnancy tests it was a Friday, i also took another test Saturday morning with my first pee of the day, I went to my OB on that following Monday, they took my blood, called me back on Tuesday my HCG levels were at 788, they wanted me to come back Wednesday to make sure they were doubling, so I did, they called me Thursday my levels were at 1600 and something. They wanted me to come back every three days and get blood work done to make sure my HCG levels were doubling, I switched drs; and when I went to the other dr office I told the lady at the front desk what was going on and she looked at me really confused, she said your pregnant why are they wanting to do that? I said to make sure they’re doubling, she was like that’s unnecessary. So now I go for my first ultrasound on the 28th! Can I have some opinions or thoughts.
Also keep in mind I’ve never been pregnant or had a miscarriage that I know of, so I’m not high risk.
They check you blood like that when ur pregnant but ur bleeding that happen to me with kid. It could risk could miscarriage that why check blood like 3 days or more
Thats absolutely too many visits. With all my kids it was a test and a ultrasound to confirm a baby. Thats it then every month after that. 🤔🤨 Confusing. They must be trying to just money from all these visits.
They took my blood twice. And I go for my first ultrasound at the new dr office the 28
There doubling, there is no need to keep going back in for blood test I had to do the blood draw three times for my second we thought I was miscarrying and after the 3 I was done they kept doubling so baby was fine
Yeah I’m not sure why they wanted to keep doing that either. I’ve never had to do that and anyone I know who had to do something like that, was high risk or they were concerned with other things. It was never just to check it.
@coffeebean, girl I love that dr. But I ain’t gonna get stuck by a needle every three days. Until I reach 18000.
I never had a blood test. I took a pregnancy test and went to my dr. That was it. Now I'm 21 weeks
