I actually said this when I was in labor with my 2nd. I had got the epidural it worked for a little but then I started to feel everything. I felt so much pressure on my butt, I just wanted to cry. When the nurses checked they said it was time to push. I didn’t have any energy, I felt like I couldn’t push at all. It was horrible & her dad was no help at all. Smh
My epidural worked great the whole time I was in labor but it stopped working right up untill I was ready to push! They came in a gave me more and I didn't feel anything just pressure I'm surprised they didn't give you more that's their job to make you comfortable if you decided to have an epidural and have no pain. There's no way I would have been able to concentrate on pushing. I was in labor for 24hrs I was very tired.
This is exactly what I said when I had my first!! My epidural only worked for one side of my body I pushed for 60 mins exact ( he got stuck in the birth canal) with my daughter I got an epidural and it failed completely in the middle of labor I was like “ oh my God I can feel EVERYTHING” 🤦🏻♀️ 😂 like 🤷🏻♀️ I got through it though
Yupp these were my words. It’s like you get so tired during those painful contractions that when it’s time to push your like “ I can’t do it! I’m weak ! It hurts “

A nurse told me it was too late for an epidural, I told her I wanted to go home.

@makeupmomplustwo_, if the lady next door had sat still, I would’ve had my epidural. I was so mad. After she got it she still screamed for hours.

@februarymomx2, I’m planning on going natural this time around but only time will tell. I just have to think mind over matter.
