The tone of this article and especially the comments drove me up the wall. For God's sake...just because I have a #boymom shirt doesn't mean I don't care how my son treats women, that I'm pushing him into a specific gender, or that I'm closed minded.

Everyone has an opinion. Media and entertainment are always going to impact the culture. Raise your kids to be respectful members of society.. I think that’s the more important topic. Boys don’t have to be rambunctious and out of control or the rescuers of girls. And girls don’t have to be emotion, sensitive and fragile BUT I believe there are distinct differences between the sexes as always will, regardless of the flow of mainstream culture.

@youre.kickin.me.schmalz, I hate the “boys will be boys” mentality. There is never an excuse for our children to disrespect other people for any rhyme or reason. Gender or anything else is not a good camouflage for crappy discipline.

Just raise your kids to not be assholes. It's that simple. Boys or girls.
This was so written by someone who either doesn't have kids, or is a mom of both a girl and a boy 🤣 I don't think it's that big of a deal to have something on it that says boymom, just like it's not a big deal to have something that says girlmom.
