So you ladies see anything wrong with your MIL to put your kids on her life insurance, taking in consideration you don’t have the best relationship with her

No? I don't see why it would be an issue...

Do the kids already have life insurance? It's a good thing to have.

yeah she asked for them, my husband her own son doesn’t have a good feeling about it either. On the surface I don’t see anything wrong but she’s knows to throw in your face what she did for you

tell her you guys aren't comfortable with it if you guys aren't. If she will throw this in your face when you guys didn't ask for this it isn't worth it in the end. If she really wanted to I'm sure she could tell the insurance company that she doesn't have access to ssn and they can either tell her that she can still list them as her beneficiary or that they won't do it without one. But with them being minors they really have no need for the ssn.

got it, I didn’t know their ssn wasn’t necessary thank you 😊

Every policy I have had or been added to required a ssn for the beneficiary part. To me it's probably the only way they don't mistake the pay out to the wrong person considering every ssn is unique to an individual. Maybe ask that you call the insurance company directly with it if you think she's shady.

Same.. Idk if you can ever have a life insurance beneficiary without it

I'm my brothers beneficiary and he didn't need my social. Unless he went and got it from my mom which I doubt she would even know it.
Eta- but I'm also my husband's and he needed mine so 🤷🏽♀️
