I never did see them sold in Montana but I've started seeing them in Texas recently.
Where I live they are sold at sprouts and city market I’m pretty sure they don’t grow here though
@beccamcglocklin828 @phoebesmommy I'm assuming they taste a little different to everyone because they're very flavorful. The texture reminds me of a grape. It tastes like a very sweet grapefruit at first. Sometimes I also get almost a pomegranate taste. No one else has agreed but it also almost tastes like nectarine juice at the end.
Yum! I’ve never seen those in a market!
@bodybycheetos @bsunshine @scidg3 @tryingmama Have you all had them? I literally didn't know they grew here in Florida until last week and only tried my first one a few days ago. My MIL pointed out we have a giant tree in our yard just full of them! I'm looking up some cool recipes as we speak haha
Yes! I have always loved trying “exotic “ fruits and in this pregnancy I have been craving papaya, apples and star fruit in the first trimester I always craved star fruit cold!
I had to Google this to see if it was real. 😶 they look like oranges...in a star form.
I did the same first time I ever saw them online. I just tried my first one a few days ago after my MIL pointed out the tree in our yard. I didn't even realize they grew where I just moved! They taste really unique.
Jealous it looks so good wish I had a star fruit tree
@bodybycheetos @bsunshine @tryingmama I'm not sure where you can get them if they don't grow near you. I've also never seem them being sold anywhere up north. I'll have to see if there's a way I could send you a few lol. If you ladies have any special ways you enjoy them send the recipes my way. We have an abundance 😳
