Moms with first graders: how much did you or do you plan to spend on clothes for back to school?…

We wear uniforms here. They cost $15 each I get 3 outfits in beginning and usually have to buy more during school.I Dont buy them all at once just keep cleaning them cause the more they have the more they feel they can tear them up quicker

The Children's Place, Tj Maxx, Ross! We usually spend $500-$600 per kid but that's including long sleeves, short sleeves, jeans, shorts, and shoes as well.

Kid to kid ,once upon a child, then maxx and I hit garage sales allll summer every Thursday and we’ve got tons of name brand new shit at them this year! And only spend like 200$ all together including new shoes and socks and underwear and winter stuff and new coats.

I use to spend about $200 for back to school clothes and shoes. But this year I didn’t have to spend anything. She got a few new shirts before she went on vacation with her aunt and we brought her new shoes on sale earlier this year just got them a size bigger. We’ll buy things here and there as the year goes on.

My daughter is only in kinder but we've spent about $200 on clothes, another $100 on shoes because my husband is a dummy, and she still needs heavy sweaters/jackets but we'll get that a little later because we've still got a few months before she needs it so there isn't much out to buy.

I like Kohl's for clothes because they have a great disney selection and my daughter is obsessed. Target had a sale on leggings last week so I got a bunch there $4 each.

Once upon a child is amazing! That's where I get all my kids clothes! $150 goes a long way in there!

Thanks everyone. I noticed jcp had some good sales and target as well.ill keep looking at other places. He has a lot of stuff now so we are going through to see what fits and what doesn’t so I have a better idea of what all to buy.

I just bought my son like 5 pairs of shoes a few months ago and he has barely worn them, I plan to go to kids foot locker and get a few more.

Children’s place be having shirts long and short sleeves as low as $2, I check daily online for sales.

I like kohl's and Ross. I try to just get pants and some t shirts. My kids already have summer clothes. Then get the real wintery stuff at Christmas.

I’m a sale shopper. I only shop sales and clearance. I try to shop ahead so at the end of each season I’ll shop the clearance rack for the next size up.
