Is tongue tie heredity?

Anyone can develop a tongue tie. But sometimes it does run down family lines.

Yes it is!! I had a tongue tie, and my son had a tongue tie. The pediatric dentist we took my son to at 6 weeks old told us it is, in fact, hereditary. Made sense, since I had one. But not every child you have will have one. My daughter didn't have one. My son did, and also a lip tie.

it's definitely hereditary. The surgeon and pediatric dentist told us it was hereditary trait, but not every child will get it. They could but they don't have to.

These things confuse me so much lol. Even after googling my dumbass still doesn’t really understand what the hell it means to have liptie or tongue tie. Like how do you know? What do you do? What if you never do anything about it or do you do anything?

@nerdymommyplus2, ouch!! That sounds painful. Does it hurt them just in general when they have it?
Uhhhh··
To remove a lip tie it's just a quick painless laser.
But just having it. No its not painful. Aubrey never had issues

@nerdymommyplus2, okay that makes sense. It always had me so lost & like I said, my dumbass never fully understood what exactly google was saying & I was too lazy to keep researching 😂
