Well my aunt and uncle just picked Dakota up for their zoo trip today and even though I know she’s gonna be fine and she’s gonna have fun I just feel so blah and upset. I’ve literally made my stomach upset over this and I’m being ridiculous because she’s going to have so much fun! They spoil her anyways but today it’s just them and her they get some extra spoiling and good one-on-one time with her. I know she’s safe but I’m a nervous wreck for her to be going to such a big place without me🤦🏻‍♀️😩

I totally understand! I had the hardest time letting my kids go places like that without me! It does get easier but never fully goes away!

My son is 17, a senior in HS.. I still give myself anxiety every time he leaves without me! The world is crazy and I have a bit of a control problem.. I don’t want to say it gets easier or it will go away because we’re all different. Good luck today! 💓

That’s completely normal! I’m a mess every time my kids go ANYWHERE without me. I panic all day while they’re in school. I panic when they simply sleep over their aunt or grandmas house. I panic HARD when they’re going to a big public place & especially field trips at school cause I just don’t believe anyone there is gonna care for my kids safety as much as me so I worry. It’s totally normal. You just have to try to find something to distract yourself. Or ask them to send you some pictures just to see she’s having a good time & ease your mind that they got her. Try finding something to rearrange, like your kitchen cabinets lol. You’ll zone into that & before you know it she will be back. Usually what I try to do to get my mind off it.

Yes! This worrying is insane! Luckily my aunt has sent me several pictures and even a video and they are having such a good time so I’m a little more calm now than earlier when they left lol. I helped my SO deep clean the cars which took forever but definitely kept me distracted thank goodness lol

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t work, a pop on the butt doesn’t work, I’ve tried getting down to her level and calmly explaining things or trying to make sure she knows that I understand her emotions and things like that but I’m not even kidding when I say nothing works with her. I’m constantly telling her no and even though she knows she’s going to get into trouble she will do it anyways and then cream this blood curdling scream when she does get in trouble. I’ve raided Pinterest for days, write everything down, tried everything I found... idk what else to do. Everyone keeps telling me it’s “terrible twos” or “she’s just strong willed” or that it’s normal for her age and all of that might be true but there’s gotta be some kind of something that will help me teach her to listen to me and such.

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
