fire insurance up here is now a joke. Either you are charged outrages amount or can’t get it at all. People up here are constantly being cancelled. It’s a mess.
I’m from the Bay so I’m a city gal. Traffic sucks but you exchange that for diversity and culture and things to do. I’m afraid of the counties north of me though. It was only 30 years ago they were burning the houses of mixed couples down to run them out of the area.
We have services through tri counties and no complaints here. We've had tri counties since my son was 18 months. I feel blessed to have this resource in his life.

I can’t imagine trying to live in silicone valley. El dorado county is beyond painful as it is.

They’ve offered my husband one of the Cheesecakes in the Bay Area four times now, and we are always like, “no thanks...”. Hahaha.
Southern California was “city” enough for us and we moved to sac (well, roseville) in 2014.

yes, it was up in Sutter County. My dad corrected me, it was right around 40 years ago, but still.
You’d be surprised. California is extremely progressive in the more metropolitan areas but not so much in other places.

that’s crazy! and I get embarrassed when I go back to visit my home down in southern Illinois. Ignorance alllll around. I hate being from there.
