That's what ours does too. I need a better weather app cuz mine never tells me what's going on. It went off for sever thunderstorm.
@catfish2220 look for your local news and weather station for an app they provide. Ours has one. That way it stays local and up to date.

@supermomof4 i always have a bag packed with the essentials I keep by the front door incase we need to leave in a hurry. I just looked at the weather though. It's going off for severe thunderstorms not a tornado😅 it goes off for any weather alert in our area. It's like a block away from our house so it's scary loud when it goes off and my first thought is always a tornado.

Our tornado sirens go off when there's severe weather coming, like a severe thunderstorm. It doesn't have to be a tornado. That's why I have several weather apps on my phone to keep me updated.
