So there’s this thing where people don’t wash their rice.. that’s a lot of starch.🥴😖
I wash mine like 8 times 😂until the water is clear. It comes out so much better, non sticky and doesn’t taste like dirt 😅
I've always washed it after it's cooked with boiling water. 🤷♀️ it's just how I was taught.
Yeah I don't really make rice so I didn't know this.... Rice ain't my thing.
I guess I don't eat enough rice lol I can count on 1 hand the amount in a year
I washed my rice sooo good last time like soaked it and rinsed it in cold water till water ran clear . It was the suraj brand and I found it turned out more starchy 🤷🏼♀️
what's the benefit of washing and soaking
why doesn't it tell u that on the directions?
It removes extra starch-similar to why quinoa is soaked prior to making.
It's just the same as barley needs to be rinsed. Minute rice is already processed like bleached and such ... guess that's y some need to be clean and others not ... my bf once told me they process some rice with feet by stepping on it . So now I always rinse and have a hard time eating it .
He said look for toe nails :0 omg !!!!!! I miss butter chicken rice :(
Anything that's not instant rice. I actually soak mine for 20 min
I always wash my rice. I didn’t know there were people that don’t.
I didn't know this was a thing until recently ,my mom's husband actually told her and then she passed it along to me 😂
Even with instant rice?? I’ve never heard this!!
