Now that things have settled down here’s my birth story. Yesterday I was set to be induced, but I started some contractions earlier in the day and by 6:30 they started to get pretty close so thank god we had to be at the hospital by 8pm but we got there a little early. We had to wait a bit for a bed because they were in the middle of transferring a patient to a different hospital. By time I got in the delivery room it was about 8:30. As they were trying to get my admission papers done I kept contracting and they were about 3-4 minutes apart. They called the doctor and he came in and checked and seen I was already 5cm and he broke my water. By 9:15 my contractions were getting stronger and more close together asked for some pain meds cause the pain was completely unbearable(which I usually have a high pain tolerance) got checked again and I was at 8cm. Next thing you know within minutes I was at 10cm and ready to push. I never seen the nurses or doctor move so fast getting everything ready. Pushed about 4 times and my little girl made her appearance. They had a hard time getting the placenta out and almost had to take me to the OR but the doctor kept trying and finally got it. All together my labor was only about 3 1/2 hours from active labor to delivery.
