My pediatrician says my son has reflux because he spits up so much. They don’t think he’s overeating. She suggested putting cereal in his bottle, but I’ve heard that’s not recommended at such a young age? I try to keep him elevated after feeding. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn’t. He’s 2 months, 3 months on August 10th.

My daughter did that and they put her on nutramigen and it works wonders

I'd try changing formula first, then medicine, and if those things do not work only for a last resort and only if he isn't gaining weight or super miserable from it. My daughter spit up a lot but it didn't bother her at all (happy spitter my dr called it lol) but she ended up on soy formula and it all makes sense now that we realized she is sensitive to dairy.

Similac makes a formula specifically for babies that spit up. My son was on it, and it was amazing!!! It had the starch from the rice in it to make the milk a bit thicker, BUT not the rice cereal itself. We loved it.

My doctor recently suggested the same for one of my twins. He told me just a teaspoon to make her milk a little "heavier" so that it stays down. I decided not to because she's already on Zantac and I keep her elevated at least 30 mins after each feed.

That’s a chocking hazard I really wouldn’t risk it. My boy spit up from birth to around 6months. He just needed time for his tummy to develop properly x

I had to do it with my oldest, it’s the only thing that worked..

Just don’t over do it, you don’t want to constipate the baby.

We gave both my kids rice cereal due to acid reflux and changed formula to enfamil gentlease and it made a huge difference with both of them. I know they say that rice cereal has no nutritional value but I would honestly do it all over again. Both my babies went from being fussy and spitting up every feeding to being happy little buggers. There's a lot of mom's that won't use rice cereal and I totally get why. But I'm one of the few that did, and I'm glad I did because my babies were so much better after starting it.

When my niece was 6 months old we started to thicken her formula.

My sister had already put her on zantac, changed her formula. With no change and losing weight, it was her last resort. It worked though.

I know sometimes it’s recommended as a last resort, my son had reflux but I decided against it. He was on Zantac which helped and a change of formula.

Starting TWW. Anyone else?

Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
