Noah is forward enough,if his mother didn't think he was "okay" enough to be put in there then she wouldn't of put him in there,I see noah day in day out and that little boy is so forward..and he loves it in there sits there smiling and laughing,I don't see why there is so much hate🤷♀️
@mariapb Ladies I understand your concern but I honestly wouldn't dare think about putting him in here unless I was 100% certain he was strong enough.
He's a very strong and clever little man, even the health visitor has said he's doing things at the rate of a 6 month old.
He holds his head up perfectly, no floppiness at all, he sits up just holding my hands, he even pulls himself into his feet and last night he almost rolled into his tummy
So thank you ladies for your concern but trust me, I know what I'm doing and if I wasn't certain he was capable I wouldn't even think about it
I'm just as shocked as anyone about how strong he is @vixster @gem_1618 @georgina-ox @mummyto2tinyhumans
@georgina-ox he's 11 weeks old not 8 and like I said I know what I'm doing, you don't see him every day like I do you don't know what he's like you just see the odd picture here and there
I don't appreciate a complete stranger telling me what I'm doing is wrong, if my health visitor is confident that he's strong enough then so am I, he's doing things that a baby shouldn't be doing untill at least 6 months old.
I know what I'm doing, I'm not stupid if he was floppy and weak I obviously wouldn't put him in there
He is not floppy and definitely not weak, when he sits in his car seat or his bouncer hell sit forward in there (under my supervision, before you make a comment on that too) he's a strong clever boy and he makes me proud every second of every day
Every persons child is an individual, meaning that they are all different and developing at different rates, just because one person's baby doesn't do certain things at 2 months old doesn't mean my baby can't
Every single day this boys amazes me and I am confident in what he does and what I do with him 👍
@zoeslater1704, I can’t get over how much he has grown. To think we both due at same time. He amazes me every time you post, he’s going to be one tall boy 😊
Just take everyone’s comments on board and I’m sure no one is attacking you, just worried for Noah.
As long as your confident and seeking professional advice then do as you see fit for him 😊
Can you ask him to slow down tho as he’s so goddam cute x
I completely agree that it's your baby, your choice. But from the sounds of it Theo was very much like Noah. Always pulling himself into the standing position using our fingers, sitting himself up in the bouncer and rolling from front to back by 12 weeks. I mean he came out holding his own head up 😒 All of which I hated him doing because it used to scare the crap out of me.
But over use of a jumparoo isn't good for kids, even at 6 months. Don't get me wrong we used one, occasionally from 6 months. So I'm definitely not judging anyone for using one. But they aren't good for the hips, the knees or the tendons in the ankles. Especially at such a young age. I understand what you're saying about being 100% confident in his abilities and this isn't to make you feel bad or put you down, it's just some friendly advice from everyone on this app. Your health visitor definitely should not have said that he's ok to go in there. When they see them at your 6 month visit they make comment about how they shouldn't spend to much time in them. I would honestly be questioning any advice she gave me if she said that Theo could go in a jumparoo at 11 weeks. We may not know you personally but we do care!
Why put baby in jumperoo if he can do other things like tummy time with toys. Read him a book etc. Theres just no need to rush into this things he may be devoloping quickly etc. But newborns are just too soft and fragile to be in that position. And i didnt even use a jumperoo with my second atall as i didtn like the idea of her hips beeing in that position so forced x
Your little one makes violet look tiny 😂 she would proberly fall through the legs in these.
I used one of these when Noah was about 5 months old, if you are going to continue to use it, just limit the time he has in it, as same as others have said there bones are just not developed enough for these products yet, and trust me you want them babies to stay babies while you can haha xxx
Not here to give anyone a hard time, i don't know your baby but regardless of how strong you think he is, from a physiological point of view his body shouldn't be doing these sort of things, his bones and muscles just aren't developed enough to take the strain, regardless of how well composed he might seem. I'm just giving advice, not a hard time. People are only commenting because they care so hopefully you don't take any of it to heart 😊

@zoeslater1704, it’s really not about being confident in him. I don’t want you to feel attacked or anything but your HV is wrong for saying it’s ok for him to be in this at that age. His bones are still really soft regardless of what he’s doing. Bouncers etc are known to cause hip displacement and bow legs even at the recommended age. I’d honestly be a bit wary about putting him in this.
I still think he's way to young to be in it. But like you said your his mother and will do whatever you please! But everyone is only saying because they do care he's still a tiny little un! He'll have plenty of time to play in the jumperoo when he's a bit older, enjoy newborn cuddles whilst you can! Because trust me won't be long and they'll just wanna be on the floor learning to crawl and get about
I don't want to dampen the mood, but he's still only 2 months old and as everyone else said it's recommended for 6 months but my boys were in there by 4 months as they were kicking off there feet and had good head control please please just be careful x
I don’t want to be “that” person but please be careful putting him in this so young. They’re not really recommended until 6 months until they’re core muscles have built up a bit and they have proper head control.
