No.. my hubby and I are partners in life and we support one another so we both shine in our relationship. We respect one another's feelings and opinions. On the rare occasions that we argue we never say hurtful or disrespectful things to one another and once we have had time to reflect we sit down and talk to each other as adults and come to a comprise. We also never argue in front of our daughter. Our relationship is built on love, trust, friendship, and humor.
I once had a relationship like you are describing with my ex.... but that's why he's my ex.

We’re partners and usually if we disagree, if it’s not that big of a deal to him, it goes my way, but if it is then I let it go and it goes his way. In the end though I will respect his final decision- what makes it work though is it’s very rare it gets to that. We still have issues though, he gets really upset over stupid things like if the house is messy or the door is left open too long. For me I don’t do too well under stress, so if I’m stressed out, everything is really hard for me and I get frustrated easier.
I think the key is for each partner to give a little and respect the other and also accept that everything isn’t always going to go your way- it would not be fair.
Like what sort of things are causing this issue? Do you two not discuss things- or is it more complicated?
