So. What do they actually DO at a post partum visit? I missed mine after my son because of insurance problems and I just didn't remember to make another appointment when I got them sorted since it took over a month of back and forth with he insurance people. So I have no clue. I assume I'll get a vaginal exam and pee in a cup and have vitals done but do they do anything else. I had GD by the way, will I have to have another glucose test? I got he Depo while at the hospital after being pressured into it, but will they still push birth control or another overlapping dose of the Depo? I definitely don't want anything else and I don't want another shot of the Depo honestly, but I'd like to know if they're going to be pushing birth control still so I can be ready to have to tell them I'm not interested in birth control methods other than condoms. Just not interested in the hormonal stuff or having the non hormonal implants either.

My midwife asked me if I was still bleeding and how I was feeling. I told her I just recently stopped bleeding and I feel fine. And she didn't check down there. And she also asked what birth control I was interested in. I'm sure every office is different but that's how my visit went.

She just did a breast exam, did a really quick look and feel vaginally as I had a teensy little tear. Then asked about my emotions, if I had a first period yet, birth control options, etc. Then I was good to go and cleared. 😊 if they ask about you wanting another Depo just tell them exactly what you wrote. As far as the GD I'm not positive. I'm assuming they would have to follow up and make sure your sugars went back to normal.
