It will come back, but it’s baby’s first time. I had to correct my son’s latch and use a nipple shield to assist him the first night. After that he was a pro. I loved that I knew what to do. I knew what it should feel like and I knew what to ask for. It just came back to me. But there is no harm in taking a breastfeeding class or watching a few videos on YouTube. Your hospital probably has a lactation consultant you can ask for after baby arrives.

I went to a lactation consultant. I assumed I wouldn’t have any problems because I’ve done this before, but different baby different problems. I had the basics and knew more what to expect.

I went to the lactation consultant with my second and it was really helpful!! I didn’t think I would need to, but each baby is different and it was a good refresher!
