Had a dr appt today. Had a glass of sweet tea before my appt to get my baby moving around. Get to the appt and they tell me they want to do the glucose test today. I drink the glucose drink, but then when I see my doctor mention the tea. She decides to play it safe and is having me skip the actual blood draw and do it all over next time instead... glad she’s playing it safe, but not looking forward to drinking that again.

Your not supposed to eat or drink anything before the glucose test if she had you do the blood draw it could have been off I’m surprised they even made you drink it
@ambrbratz, I’ve never heard of it being done that way.? I’ve had to take that test 3 times my entire life including while pregnant and all my doctors made me fast every time. I guess every doctor is different. And I bet cran-grape juice made my daughter go crazy
@taylorsmommy, the lab tech told me to fast for the 1 hour, but i had to clarify something with the doctor and I was double checking how long the fast was to be. She got upset and said they are not supposed to tell us that. We are only to fast for the 3 hour not 1 hour. Very confusing. I just ate protein for breakfast- two eggs and salsa. Protein won’t raise your blood sugar. Definitely don’t want sweet tea or a smoothie before.
@amysbabies, I’m just glad I know when it is now so I can plan accordingly. Had I known it was gonna be today I’d have avoided the tea and had a different breakfast for sure lol

So I had my glucose test today. I know I sound kind of weird but I actually liked the drink they gave me lol
So I keep feeling these lil sharp pains on my right side. You do get pains like that before you start your period right.? Remember I had that dark brown spotting for a few hours last month on the 22. My period suppose to start today.
I never had to fast with my glucose test, just not eat or drink anything sugary 🤷♀️
