Brush and floss after you eat! I got braces at 16. I actually miss them 😭

Try to invest in a waterpik, I had Damon braces and the wires were a pain in the butt everything they’d stick out but the results where fenomenal

A waterpik huh?? I’m gonna definitely look into that. I heard about people’s wire sticking them

stay away from anything sticky, brush after you eat and also floss, they’ll teach you how to floss with braces on, also as the days go by it’ll get easier to eat and before you know it “it’ll all be normal”

@prettymom3, i love food too lol for me it took about a week to not feel sore and as the months go by you get used to it. I had them for two years . It went by fast

if you do exactly what they tell you to do it could be less. Mine was shortened by few months i was on that lol

I had braces for years. They aren't that bad. You'll be kinda sore at first when u get them on and when they tighten them but it's nothing unbearable. They tell u what u shouldn't eat in order not to damage them. I ate those Snyder's pretzels pieces and snapped them twice so I don't recommend those lol. Are u getting an expander?

yeah I don’t think so. It’s not medically necessary that I get these braces it was by chose to fix a few flaws

I had to get mine. I was born without my adult canines so I had to do braces and they gave me a retainer with false teeth to make my teeth look normal untill after they came off and I could get my implant surgery done. Also make sure u wear your retainer afterwords or it'll all be for nothing lol.

oh goodness yes, my mom had to get her braces 20 years later for not wearing her retainer 🤦🏾‍♀️ I’ll have a permanent one for my gap & the other that I’ll have to hope doesn’t get lost in tissue 🥴

If you are getting metal braces, definitely stay away from gum and any sticky candies. Try to brush after you eat so good won’t get stuck. Eating will feel weird the first day but it will get better!
