So my boyfriend is Syrian and Salvadoran nd he wants to name the baby after his dad I'm all for it . Every time my family asks what my son's name is they just look at me like why clearly my son's dad wants to carry on his dad's family name. But it's super Syrian Wich I love but my cousin's who are half Egyptian say I'm trying to hard like tf his dad is half Syrian why would I not incorporate his family name into my son's name ..

trying too hard? passing down a family name is SUPER common. my son has my FIL middle name although they think we named him a spin off of my husbands favorite drink. 😂 Jaxon Daniel (Jack Daniels)

I didn't wanna tell them yet but my cousin knows my boyfriend nd he came over the other day she asked him what the baby's name was so he told her now she told her sister . I'm not mad just annoyed at how she says I'm trying to hard ..
