Any ideas how I can get my EIGHT year old to quit picking his nose and sucking on his fingers?! It’s super irritating, annoying, gross, and I’m about ready to kick him out of the house if I have to keep looking over at him and seeing him with his pinky 3/4 of the way up his nose!

He has been picking his nose for years. He used to get A TON of bloody noses and now he doesn’t get them but he is still obsessed with picking his nose.

My daughter has a habit of biting her nails. It gets on my nerves hearing her chewing on her nails. Kids are seriously so gross!

Maybe take away specific toys/privileges/desserts when you catch him in the act? As for the finger sucking, look up bitter nail polish. You might be able to find it at a pharmacy or online. We used it on my son for his thumb sucking.

I’ve taken away toys. Tv privileges. I’ve told him people aren’t going to be his friend. He doesn’t care. I’ll look into bitter nail polish. Thanks for the suggestions!
