I was looking up on Google how to get a toddler to stop hitting and they were saying to not scolled or do timeout.. when they do hit to hold them and say I'm here for you or iknow you like your brother i can't let you do that. But I also want him to know we're serious about and there should be consequences. I try to remove him from the situation before it even happens because he'll flair around and not even think that his brother is right there his baby brother has been hit many times and kicked and he rips things out of his hands and I don't want him picking up on that and thinking it's okay.. but his brother could be crawling pasted him and he'll say owe, anything his brother does he'll look at us and say owe because he notices that he doesn't ever get in trouble. Iknow I've made a couple posts about it but his little brother is getting hurt a couple times a day

We do strikes with both the kids. First two strikes we talk to them tell them they can't hit ect. (Payton writes her own strike on the marker board, but AJ doesn't know how yet)Once they get their third strike we sit them in time out. Payton hardly ever has to sit but AJ does lol.

I usually remove him from the situation by putting him in his room when he calms down we talk to him and he goes and hugs his brother and says sorry!

well if he's saying sorry he knows he did wrong. If that works for u just keep at it. Repetition is key!
