Daphne reminds me of my Bella girl 😭😍 but honestly you can’t go based on breed or looks . Im thankful we got Bella when we learned I was pregnant cause she was literally like 3 weeks old (the people that sold her to us were super irresponsible and not taking care of the puppies her dog had) so we raised her around another child to teach her to love and be patient with an annoying kid . She’s my only dog that doesn’t get annoyed with my son . We had to pay close to 5 grand for training my other dogs because they growled at my son and stuff and couldn’t find a new home for them . And we weren’t dropping them off at a pound . They would have literally died in a cage alone they have such bad anxiety. Any dog you get should go through a training course and meet your kids before going home with you.

Oh yeah I'd like the potential pet to get used to the girls first before taking it home, but that does seem a little mean. Playing with a dog and not bringing it home...I can see a lot of sad faces about that lol. My original plan was to wait for my oldest to turn 3 and and the younger to turn 1 but I know that my hubby doesn't want to wait that long and I know that my oldest is good with dogs (my grandparents have a Yorkie named Max and she loves him! My in laws had a mutt named Harry and she was good with him, he was a medium sized mutt, but he sadly passed away a couple of months ago). I'm just hesitant about getting one cause it'd be me taking care of it plus the girls plus the expenses of the adoption, food, toys, treats, where to lodge him if we go away etc.

@armywife72515, my son loves our dogs , but he loves them to much lol he always wants to be up their but laying on them and kissing and petting them lol look into breeds before getting them if you’re worried about expenses. Some are more prone to certain things like hip problems etc . And it can be pricey lol

Im not hating on pit bulls at all ( i own one) but I would not get an older one that I didnt raise myself. Just because of trust issues.
