Moms that had csection. How was it for you? The healing and everything? Amd after you got home?
Plan for today is a shower and to remove the bandage from the incision and walking. Trying to prepare.
Ive had two emergencies I also healed pretty fast and was driving (cleared by my doctors) by 3 weeks time. Get up and have a shower when the epidural or spinal wears off. Most importantly TAKE YOUR MEDICATION! every single one of them! You might think you don’t need them but then the pain starts to creep in and you wish you had taken them to begin with!
Mine was absolute HELL! Take it easy and get as much help and rest as you possibly can. Best of luck to you!
I’ve had three. The first one was unplanned, failed inducing. The second was unplanned emergency at 29 weeks with a horizontal and vertical cut to uterus. The third was planned with a tubal. I was a building a cattle fence with my husband 3 days after #2. I didn’t take any meds for any of them except for the second bc it was bad due the the rush and extra cut. I think for most normal c sections it is mind of matter. Put your jeans on, walk, and don’t tell yourself it’s going to be sooo hard. Of course, there are some c sections that have complications so I am not talking about those
Mine really weren’t that bad. The worst part was getting up for the first time. When you walk around, don’t hunch over, try to stand as straight as possible. Have a pillow close by to hold over your incision when you cough.
Right after I had it done I had horrible after pain which only last about a daym
I had 8 vaginal and my last was csection I was scared shitless plus I had a tubal. Honestly it wasn't painful but the trapped gas was a B!
What did you ladies do for the gas pains? It hurts to push so i dont even try but these are some sharp pains
@scruffy.nerf.herder lol thats funny. My hospital wants to send me home tomorrow so i pray i can get some out to relieve this pain
I had horrible gas pain in my right shoulder. They just gave me gas meds for it
both of mine were rough the second one I got sick from the spinal block and was vomiting for 2 days straight which was hell on my incision and made healing harder it took me about 5 weeks to actually walk through a store without having to stop and rest with pain
my first I was in labor for 2 days before the c section
Mine was rough too. I labored & pushed before my C-section, though, so I think that’s part of why my recovery was hard. It took 2 solid weeks before I could attempt to lay on my side. It was so hard getting in and out of bed, just moving in general hurt! I took things very slow, and my husband had to help me with putting on pants and compression socks (because I was so swollen).
@graciesmom97, depending on how you can move, you may have to butt scoot backwards up the stairs. I’m sorry momma, that’s so rough after having major surgery 😰
I'm not going to lie mine was pretty rough. It took me a long time to heal and it was pretty painful for a while. Of course everybody is different and I've seen some women who had a C-section and two days later they're up and moving like nothing ever happened.
I heal good and fast, with not much pain either. The C Section itself sucked. I had a crappy experience. The part that hurt the worst was trying to get up to walk and the horrible gas pain in my shoulder. I also had some fluid build up in my inner ear from all the fluid they gave me. So I had a weird noise in my head on and off for two weeks. It started a few hours after my c section. That really sucked
