Ok someone is asking me to watch their child one day a week (8 hrs) & asked me how much I want for it... how much would you charge? Do you think $40 is to much??

No just babysitting him for a day, she’s a friend of mine so I figured not to charge to much. She’s supplying his food & diapers for the day. Anyone outside of that I’d probably charge more.

I pay the lady who watches my kids $11 an hour. She had them twice a week for 4 hours each day and I give her $88. That’s for two kids though.

Do you run a daycare or are you just babysitting one child for someone? When I used to babysit, I'd charge $10 an hour for 1 child. I'd add $1 an hour for each child after that. So if it were 2 siblings: $11/hr, 3 siblings: 12/hr etc. Babysitting is work. I'd never work for 8 hours for only 40 bucks...that's only $5 an hour 😳
