My due date has changed so many times throughout my pregnancy.. I’m not sure what to go off of anymore. Should I get more of an idea of when she will come when I’m further along?

Your due date should be based off of the first day of your last period or off of a dating scan that was done in the first trimester. Anything after that is inaccurate because babies grow at different rates in the second and third trimester. A dr should not change your due date after the first trimester unless there is a significant reason to do so.

@sistersmainpiece, yeah I had two done my first trimester and if I go by my last period it’s a weeks more that they added since my scan yesterday. And the date they gave me in the first trimester was a week less than my period estimate.

@ladyblauvelt, I have worked in healthcare since high school so I get it’s just the people there and not a judgment of the care provided. But at the same time I guess I started with a good relationship with my ob and then changing to different ones because I moved just made it hard to accept less than what I had. I’m glad to go back to her and have the comfort again and the good relationship with all the staff that know me by name as I walk in.

Babies come when they're ready, a due date is just an estimate. Both my babies came after their due dates and I was induced for my first at 40w3d, my 2nd came on his own at 40w2d. If you focus too much on a due date it will just frustrate you and get you depressed and thinking every little thing is the beginning of labor

I’m just wondering is all if anyone’s had the similar situation. I like to track her growth and want to just make sure things are going ok. I just had an ultrasound done yesterday and they said all her growth was slightly above the average for her size but then changed the date because of her measurements to further along by a week. At this point I’m just telling people sometime in September I’m due.
